Best Indoor Birthday Party Places for Babies, Toddlers, and Preschoolers on Long Island

1. Sippy Cups Cafe – Seaford

If you have a toddler or preschooler with their heart set on a theme, Sippy Cups Cafe can deliver. We had our daughter's third birthday here just for that reason. Our daughter is obsessed with Halloween, and Sippy Cups gave her a boo-tiful birthday party. They handle everything for you, so there is nothing to stress or worry about. All you need to bring is dessert. We gave them a list of her favorite Halloween songs to play during the dance party portion. The space was decorated perfectly spooky for her age. The staff organized the activities and made sure the children were playing safely. The play space includes a CedarWorks climber, pretend play areas like a kitchen, train table, and Legos, plus an area for puzzles, books, and dollhouses.

2. Planet Play – Bellmore

Planet Play is another popular choice on Long Island's South Shore. We've been to a handful of preschooler birthday parties here. There is an arcade, a small jump house, and a climber with multiple levels and slides. Parties have exclusive use of the space while they are in it. Children are free to roam from the arcade to the inflatables and even to the baby and toddler area next to the cafe before there's an announcement to cash in tickets at the prize counter. Guests then head into the party room for food. Parties include an arcade card and a visit from an alien mascot, though you can upgrade to get licensed characters. We went to a party featuring Super Mario, Peach, and Bowser, which was a huge hit with the kids. All goody bags include a ticket to come back for a free open play, which is a nice touch.

3. L.I. Salty Kids Cove – Patchogue

A big advantage to having a party at L.I. Salty Kids Cove is they are a big facility, over 5k square feet, which means you can avoid throwing two parties: one for the family and one for the friends. Everyone can comfortably fit, and the beachy theme of the play space is inviting to both children and adults. Catering is done through Cafe Amici, so trays of food for adults can easily be provided. Custom themes are included even in the basic package. Another cool add-on is the open-air photo booth. Parties have exclusive use of the entire venue.

4. La La Land – Babylon

Similar to Sippy Cups Cafe, La La Land caters to parents of toddlers and preschoolers and offers customization options.  While the basic party package does not include themed decor, the two other packages do. You can also pick and choose things to upgrade the party with, such as face painting, balloon animals, a magician, character appearances, and more. The play area is nicely organized, so there is lots of room to run safely without getting in the way of the pretend play area or the climbing structure.

5. WowMoms World – Mineola

WowMoms World may be one of the most unique places on our list. It is both a spa and a play space. Imagine an exclusive party where moms can get a manicure while the kids play at the party. For the basic package, parties happen during open play hours. You can choose from a large number of themes, including popular children's content like "Baby Shark," "Frozen," "Encanto," and more generic themes such as mermaids and superheroes. Private parties are also available and include exclusive use of the space, with space for 100 guests.

6. Little Laughs Playtime – Commack

Little Laughs Playtime offers two base packages, the simple and the all-inclusive. The simple does not have a theme, but it includes pizza and cupcakes for 10 children. The all-inclusive package pricing includes food for the adults as well as a cake and custom theme. Some themes offered are Cocomelon, Blippi, Super Mario, "Frozen." and "Paw Patrol." You can add on enhancements like ice cream decorating, character visits, and a pinata. Your party will have exclusive use of the play space, which has a soft climbing area, pretend vet clinic and cafe, tunnels, busy boards, and more.

7. Long Island Children's Museum – Garden City

LICM provides different themes for their birthday parties depending on what you prefer. Pick the messy package to create slime, oobleck, or another fun science creation, or pick the paint package to create a work of art. All parties include museum admission, which is good for the entire day of the party. Parties can have up to 15 child guests, and adults are free. The only caveat is that food and beverages are not included in the price, and you must provide your own. You do, however, have use of their private party room, which can hold up to 40 people. For a unique experience, you may want to consider a carousel birthday at Nunley's Carousel, though it does not include museum admission.

8. Jump Town U.S.A. – Farmingdale

We've been to quite a few birthday parties, as well as an open play session, at Jump Town U.S.A. Kids always have a blast and leave sweaty. There are two inflatable rooms. The first has a giant slide, obstacle course, and basketball hoops. The second room has even more inflatables, including a pirate ship and obstacle course. There is also a dance floor. A great aspect of this party place is that your party has exclusive use of each room. Once you are done in the first room, the doors close behind you as you enter the second, allowing a new party to enter the first room while you continue with yours. It's easier to keep track of party guests and can make parties with younger siblings less worrisome.

9. Center for Science, Teaching and Learning – Rockville Centre

Young paleontologists will love a party at the Center for Science, Teaching and Learning. The dinosaur exhibit rivals that of larger museums and includes animatronic dinosaurs as well as skeletal models. There are even some true fossils on display, such as real dinosaur eggs. Live animals are also on display, such as snakes, emus, turtles, and owls. Parties are 1.5 hours long and include a private party room.

10. Urban Air – Lake Grove, Dix Hills

Jump, leap, and conquer ninja-like obstacles at Urban Air. Packages are customizable based on what attractions you want for your party. The basic package only includes trampolines, while the platinum includes all attractions such as the sky rider, dodgeball, laser tag, ropes course, virtual reality, and more. You can choose a classic theme or, on select days, a glow theme. You can also reserve just a table or an entire private room. The downside to a birthday party at Urban Air is the facility is open to the public during your party time, so it can get hectic. The good news, though, is that you have access to all-day play.

11. Xplore & Safari Adventure – Commack, Port Jefferson and Riverhead

Owned by the same company, Xplore and Safari adventure pack in tons of fun for party guests. Xplore Commack offers an arcade, bounce houses and slide, a multi-level climbing structure, and indoor glow karts. The Port Jefferson location has a larger arcade and climbing structure, but no glow karts. It does, however, have an awesome ropes course perfect for young grade schoolers. Safari Adventure has multiple bounce houses, a multi-level climbing structure, and an arcade. Similar to Urban Air, parties take place during public operating hours, but a premium private package offers parties before or after traditional hours to give you exclusive use of the play space.

12. Bellmore Playhouse – Bellmore

Most kids love the movies and, maybe even more, munching on snacks like popcorn while they watch them. We've had the pleasure of attending a party at Bellmore Playhouse, and it was a real crowd pleaser. As guests arrive, the lights in the theater are on. Snacks can be found up front, which you provide. When the movie is about to start, staff members bring out unlimited popcorn and soft drinks. The lights dim, and guests view the birthday child's movie choice.

Best Indoor Birthday Party Places for Tweens and Teens on Long Island

13. Round 1 – Hicksville

Mentioning Round 1 may immediately conjure up images of all the awesome Japanese prize games, but it is much more than just an arcade. While they also have bowling, arguably the coolest feature of Round 1 is the private karaoke rooms. Tweens and Teens can sing their hearts out without the fear of doing so in front of a bunch of strangers. There are multiple party packages to choose from based on what your guests are most interested in experiencing.

14. StrikeForce Sports – East Farmingdale

Gear up and prepare for battle. A party here isn't for the faint of heart, but boy is it a blast. Tweens and teens can duke it out in an airsoft party, which includes all equipment rentals. The best part is guests get unlimited ammo. There is a minimum of 10 guests to book, and no matter the party packages, you must bring your own dessert. StrikeForce Sports also offers Nerf parties for kids 5 and older, and gel blaster parties for those 8 and older.

15. Q-Zar and Q-Axe – Carle Place

Go for a traditional laser tag party to transport guests to another dimension. Teams will battle it out for ultimate victory before heading back to the party room for food and cake. You also have the option of adding arcade cards to your package. Feeling the need to get a little more dangerous? Add on a 55-minute ax-throwing session, which includes an instructor. You can also customize your party if you would like to opt for ax-throwing only.

16. Port Washington Skating Center – Port Washington

Lace up the skates and glide across the ice at Port Washington Skating Center. Perfect for winter birthdays, tweens and teens can have a party during a public session, or even a private party where they have the ice all to themselves. Public skate session parties are very affordable and include the use of a private room, though it does not include food and beverages. Private parties include up to 75 people and you can do whatever you like on the ice, even play a game of hockey. Both parties include skate rentals for guests.

17. Rage Room LI – Selden

Teen angst has a new outlet with Long Island's only rage room. Get into protective equipment before releasing all the pent-up aggression in the most destructive way possible. Pick your weapon of choice, from heavy-duty wrenches to sledgehammers and even golf clubs, and destroy, destroy, destroy. Not only is it a great outlet for anger, but it's a workout, too. Rage parties include food and drink of your choice. Note that parties are generally for 1-12 people or 12-18 people, and only six can be in the rage room at a time. The other guests can watch their friends' smash sessions on a TV in the other room.

18. Graff Lab Studio – New Hyde Park, Holtsville

A more adult version of the plaster parties they had as kids, Graff Lab Studio allows tweens and teens to get creative in a cool way. Teens and tweens can create a work of art on t-shirts, tote bags, canvas, skate decks, and even denim jackets. Parties include an instructor and all art materials. AIrbrush and spray paint a unique work of art guests will be able to show off for years to come.
