Legoland Pirate Island Hotel is conveniently located just 130 pirates steps away from the Legoland theme park entrance. Both the Pirate Island Hotel and the Legoland Hotel share a check-in desk and main entrance, and guests at either hotel can enjoy the amenities at both.

The first thing my kiddos noticed when walking in was the life-sized Lego pirate ship play structure. Of course, we had to stop and play for a bit. Once checked in, we headed to the pirate side and up the elevator to our room. My kids loved dancing to the Lego music on the elevator ("party in the elevator," as they called it!). Even the hallways were elaborately decorated to go with the theme.

Legoland Pirate Island Hotel: Rooms

The hotel features 150 pirate-themed rooms (including four suites). Standard rooms can accommodate up to two adults and three children, while suites can accomodate up to two adults and five children. Young lads and lassies have their own separate sleeping area complete with a bunk bed, Lego build area, a TV with on-demand content (including a variety of Lego movies), and a pull-out trundle bed. My oldest loved the in-room Amazon Alexa, and all the kids enjoyed completing an in-room treasure hunt complete with Lego prizes.

Parents are able to relax in their own sleeping area with a king bed and TV. There is a mini-fridge and coffee maker in each room as well. I personally appreciated the fact that the bathroom was complete with a step stool and built-in smaller toilet seat, perfect for our independent 3 year old. We were even surprised with a Legoland Times newspaper delivered to our room each morning.

Legoland Pirate Island Hotel: Dining

An all-you-can-eat, family-style breakfast is included for hotel guests, and it did not disappoint! My kids loved the Lego-shaped waffles. Breakfast also includes fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage, and biscuits and gravy. Guests can choose to eat breakfast at the Shipwreck Restaurant on the pirate side or Bricks Restaurant on the Legoland Hotel side. The wait for both restaurants was long when we attempted to dine in, so instead, we ordered our breakfast to go at Smuggler’s Bar. (I highly recommend this option if you don’t want to wait—it was much faster, and there is also a complimentary coffee station set up at the bar in the mornings.

Dinner options include the Shipwreck Restaurant on the pirate side, which serves an all-you-can-eat, family-style feast, and Bricks Restaurant on the Legoland Hotel side, which offers a dinner buffet. Skyline Lounge (also on the Legoland Hotel side) is another option, with lunch and dinner menus serving traditional American food.

Legoland Pirate Island Hotel: Amenities

In true Legoland style, there are themed Lego play areas throughout the hotel for kids to enjoy. Even the resort-style heated pool has floating Lego bricks! Nightly entertainment is available including PJ dance parties, buccaneer bingo, pirate trivia, and themed story times. Other amenities include character appearances, mini golf, master model builder workshops, a boardwalk, pontoon boat rides on Lake Eloise, and a firepit where guests can roast s’mores. 

Of course, the biggest advantage of staying at the Pirate Island Hotel is the proximity to Legoland Florida theme park and waterpark. Hotel guests have access to a separate security entrance to the theme park and don’t have to wait in the main security line for the park. Coming soon, guests can enjoy a Peppa Pig theme park within walking distance as well.
