Why Splash Pads are a Great Summer Outing for Kids
What kid doesn't want to be physically active, interact with others, and spend time outdoors?! Atlanta splash pads offer unstructured playtime, fostering imagination and cognitive skills. With zero-depth entry, splash pads are more accessible to kids of varying abilities, and the risk of drowning is low. Even toddlers who are anxious about large swimming pools delight in this sensory and refreshing experience.
Make the Most of Your Splash Pad Outing
Generally, Atlanta splash pads operate during daylight hours between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Check individual websites for specific dates and hours of operation before heading out. In addition to packing sunscreen, bathing suits, swim diapers (for younger kids), and towels, consider bringing water shoes to prevent falls on the slick surface. Adult supervision of kids is required, and pets aren't allowed. Also, bring lots of water so kids can rehydrate in the hot sun.
